To surrender your thought to metre,

You surrender yourself to the poem’s beat, or

Rhyme or formula or words or sound.

The author is lost and creation is found...

Victoria (Tori) Hadel is an American director, actor, singer, combatant, and comedian. Born in Long Island, NY she developed a passion for storytelling at an early age. She followed that passion across the country when she moved to Palm City, Florida where she became active in the local arts community.

Victoria attended Western Carolina University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Though she loved being on the stage, WCU gave her many an opportunity to shine offstage as well. Whether student directing films to choreographing fights in plays, Victoria was always finding ways to cultivate her new visionary passions. In addition to her studies at WCU, Victoria worked as an actor/combatant at several outdoor theaters in North Carolina as well.

After university, Victoria moved to Nanjing, China where she worked for Enreach Education as a drama teacher. Here she found a true love for teaching children and introducing many of them to theatre for the first time. In the summer of 2019, Victoria relocated to Shanghai, China where she took the opportunity to work for iStage Academy as a Musical Theatre Specialist. At iStage, she continued her theatrical enrichment programs with children of many ages, especially those 7 to 9 years of age.

While living in China, Victoria met a wonderful group of women who uplifted her and her visions. Victoria was very active in the comedy scene and served as show-runner for Shanghai Comediennes, an all-female comedy troupe based in Shanghai.

A spontaneous soul and true lover of travel, Victoria is now based out of the UK and recently completed her Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Directing at University of East London. When she is not creating art, Victoria loves adventuring with her family, spooky ghost stories, and coffee with lots of creamer.
